Lowenstein Sandler has announced that Matt Savare, partner in the firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (fka, The Tech Group), Blockchain Technology & Digital Assets, and Technology & Media Transactions practices, has been named Chair of the Commercial Contracts practice, effective January 1, 2021. The practice focuses on the full spectrum of commercial contracts across a wide range of industries, including ad tech, fintech, life sciences, software, big data, social media, blockchain, media and entertainment, retail (online and brick and mortar), beauty, fashion, and food and beverage.
Savare is a veteran of high-profile representations in the technology, digital advertising, media, and entertainment sectors; his work often addresses how new and emerging technologies are disrupting traditional businesses. He regularly negotiates endorsement, influencer, and personal appearance deals involving athletes, celebrities, and major brands.
“Unlike other firms, which typically do not have a team of attorneys dedicated solely to commercial contracts, our multidisciplinary group focuses on providing practical, efficient, and responsive business and legal services in connection with all facets of the contracting process,” says Savare. “By pooling the knowledge and skills of our IP, privacy, corporate, regulatory, and tax lawyers, we can effectively and efficiently support clients in a wide range of industries and materially improve their business agreements.”
In addition to Savare, other partners in the practice include Mark P. Kesslen, Mary J. Hildebrand, David Leit, Kathleen A. McGee, and Nicholas G. Mehler.
