Lowenstein Sandler LLP, together with its affiliate, Lowenstein Sandler Inc. (collectively, “Lowenstein,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides this privacy policy because we know that you care about how your information is collected, used shared and retained. This privacy policy applies to information collected when you visit our websites located at: www.lowenstein.com, www.venturecrush.com, www.lateralrecruiting.lowenstein.com, www.lowensteinprobonoreport.com, www.appraisalrightslitigation.com, www.lsbigthoughtsantitrustblog.com, and www.capitalmarketslitigation.com, or any other website Lowenstein establishes in the future, including any mobile application or version of the sites (collectively, the “Sites”), or otherwise interact with us through the Sites.
By browsing, accessing or using our Sites, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Use. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning set forth in our Terms of Use.

EEA Individuals. Natural persons located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) should review the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) Privacy Notice, and the Privacy Shield Notice for their specific rights, remedies, and related information. Important Notice to Non-U.S. Residents. The Sites are all operated from the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us and/or that we collect from you, including personal information, will be transferred from your country of origin to the United States. Except in the case of data transfers under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework (as described in the Privacy Shield Notice linked above), your decision to provide such data to us, or allow us to collect such data it through our Sites or services, constitutes your consent to this data transfer.
California Residents. Natural persons who reside in the State of California should also review the Notice to California Residents. You may have additional rights under California law.
The Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, which may include personal information (collectively, the “Information”).
Contact Information. We collect your contact information on our Sites when you voluntarily provide it to us. For example, you may disclose contact information to us via the “Contact Us” link on our Sites, submit information by mail, telephone, or electronically, when signing up for newsletters, alerts, whitepapers, legal insights and other marketing communications, or when you register to attend an event or program. Contact Information may include first name, last name, e-mail address, postal address, employer, telephone number and other information that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you.
Job Applicant Information. If you apply for a position at Lowenstein via the Sites, you may provide us with Contact Information in addition to a resume, employment history, and education and qualification details.
Geolocation Information. Certain features and functionalities of our Sites are based on your location. In order to provide these features and functionalities while you are using a mobile device, we may, with your consent, automatically collect geolocation information from your mobile device or wireless carrier and/or certain third-party service providers. You may decline to allow us to collect such Geolocation Information, in which case we may not be able to provide certain features or functionalities to you.
Cookies. We may also collect information using cookies, small packets of data that a website stores on your hard drive so that your computer will “remember” information about your visit to our Sites. If you do not want cookies placed on your hard drive, you may be able to turn that feature off on your computer. Please consult your Internet browser’s documentation for instructions. However, if you decide not to accept cookies from us, the Sites may not function properly
Analytics Information. We may engage third party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to collect and analyze various data regarding your usage and activity on the Sites. Analytics services may use tracking technologies (e.g., pixel tags and cookies) to collect information on our behalf including your IP address, ISP, browser type, operating system and language, referring and exit pages and URLs, date and time, amount of time spent on particular pages, what sections of the Sites you visit, number of links you click while on the Sites, search terms, and other data. We may also collect information regarding your mobile device, including the type, operating system and version (e.g., iOS, Android or Windows), processor information, network type, and similar data. Please be advised that if you opt out of any analytics service, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Sites.
We also use one or more third-party remarketing services to advertise on third-party websites to previous visitors to our Sites. These third-party remarketing service providers use cookies to serve ads based on a past visit to the Sites. Any data collected by such third party remarketing service providers will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the privacy policy of such third party remarketing services provider. How We Use and Share Information
The Information is used by Lowenstein for the purpose for which it was collected and in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. These functions include operation, maintenance and improvements to the Sites, solicitation of your feedback, responding to your requests and questions, evaluating job applications, and informing you about our firm and services.
Aggregated Data. We may analyze your personal information in aggregate form which does not identify you personally (“Aggregated Data”). The Aggregated Data may be used to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Sites, shared with our affiliates, agents, and business partners, and otherwise used and disclosed for lawful business purposes.
Service Providers/Vendors. Like many businesses, we hire other companies to perform certain business-related services. We may disclose personal information to certain types of third party companies but only to the extent needed to enable them to provide such services. The types of companies that may receive personal information and their functions are: web hosting companies, disaster recovery services, client survey and marketing services, and data storage. All such third parties perform services on our behalf pursuant to contracts which require they provide the same level of privacy protection as is required by this privacy policy.
Reorganization. If in the future Lowenstein undergoes a corporate, partnership, or business reorganization, we may transfer the Information, including personal information, to the surviving entity.
Disclosure to Public Authorities. If we reasonably believe that we are required to do so by law, we will disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including for the purpose of meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. We may also disclose personal information to other third parties when we reasonably believe we are compelled to do so by government authorities or required by law or regulation including, but not limited to, in response to court orders and subpoenas.
Access to personal information. Upon request to privacy@lowenstein.com we will provide you with confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal information, and have the data communicated to you within a reasonable time. You have the right to correct, amend or delete your personal information where it is inaccurate or has been processed in violation of this privacy policy. Please allow us a reasonable time to respond to your inquiries and requests.
If Lowenstein intends on using or disclosing your personal information in any manner that is not consistent with this Privacy Policy, you will be informed of such anticipated use prior to or at the time at which the personal information is collected.
How We Protect Your Personal information
We take commercially reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Please understand, however, that no security system is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the personal information that you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet.
Accessing and Modifying Personal Information and Communication Preferences
Upon request to privacy@lowenstein.com we will provide you with confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal information, and have the information communicated to you within a reasonable time. You have the right to correct, amend or delete your personal information where it is inaccurate or has been processed in violation of this Privacy Policy. Please allow us a reasonable time to respond to your inquiries and requests.
You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of any marketing email. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to process such requests in a timely manner.
Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Sites. If you are under 13, please do not give us any personal information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s Internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the Sites without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Contact Information to us, please contact us, at privacy@lowenstein.com and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
Notice to Nevada Residents
If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain personal information to third parties who intend to license or sell that personal information. You can exercise this right by contacting us at privacy@lowenstein.com with the subject line “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account. Please note that we do not currently sell your personal information as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites. These third-party sites may collect information about you if you click on a link. We have no control over the privacy practices or the content of these websites. As such, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites. You should check the applicable third-party privacy policy and terms of use when visiting any other websites.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of the date stated at the top of this Privacy Policy. We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any such changes will be posted on the Sites. By accessing the Sites after we make any such changes to this Privacy Policy, you are deemed to have accepted such changes. Please be aware that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, our use of the Information is governed by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time we collect the Information.
