Andrew David Behlmann is a member of theBankruptcy & Restructuring Department, where he leverages his background in corporate finance and management to approach restructuring problems, both in and out of court, from a practical, results-oriented perspective. With a focus on building consensus among multiple parties that have competing priorities, Andrew has a track record of turning financial distress into positive business outcomes. Clients value his counsel in complex Chapter 11 cases, where he represents debtors, creditors' committees, purchasers, and investors. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked in senior financial management at a midsize, privately held company. Andrew earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.S. from University of Missouri-Saint Louis.
A New York-based member of the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department group, Eric Chafetz represents debtors, trade creditors, and plan administrators/liquidating trustees in complex bankruptcies. Clients benefit from his extremely successful track record representing stakeholders at all stages of the bankruptcy process. A leader in his field, Eric is also a frequent speaker and a prolific author, and has published numerous articles addressing various cutting-edge issues in journals geared toward trade creditors. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Andrew P. Erdmann is a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity groups, where he advises clients on public company mergers and tender offers, purchases and sales of private businesses, formations and dispositions of joint ventures, and other strategic and financial investments. He also regularly provides general legal counsel to clients with respect to corporate governance, corporate finance, securities, and commercial contract and legal compliance matters. Over the course of his career, Andrew has led and worked on deal teams that have negotiated and closed transactions in a wide variety of industries, ranging from several million to several billion dollars in value. Prior to entering the legal profession, Andrew worked for PwC, where he provided clients with tax consulting and compliance services. He earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and his B.B.A from James Madison University.
Jamie Gottlieb Furia is a member of the White Collar Criminal Defense group, where she represents clients in government investigations involving allegations of criminal antitrust, accounting fraud, securities fraud, health care fraud, and violations of federal environmental laws. Jamie also has extensive experience conducting complex, highly sensitive internal investigations on behalf of public and private companies, corporate boards, and special committees involving regulatory compliance, employee misconduct, accounting and company expenditures, and criminal misconduct. When conducting investigations, she often advises companies on corporate governance issues and compliance programs. Jamie also has substantial experience litigating sophisticated civil matters, including securities fraud class actions and corporate litigation, in both state and federal courts. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from New York University.
Darren Goodman is a member of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation group. He provides legal guidance on the employee benefit aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions, including negotiation of employment terms and application of the golden parachute payment provisions of the Internal Revenue Code. Darren also advises corporate and individual clients on executive compensation matters, such as Section 409A compliance; design and administration of equity compensation plans; and employment, equity, change-in-control, and separation agreements. In addition, he counsels clients on retirement plans and welfare benefit plans, including compliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Before joining the firm, Darren served as law clerk to the Honorable Stuart Rabner, Chief Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Carl J. Hessler is a member of The Tech Group, Seed Stage Investing & Startups, Venture Capital & Tech M&A practice groups. He focuses his practice on venture capital financing transactions and mergers and acquisitions. Carl represents entrepreneurs, emerging growth companies, and venture capital funds in a variety of matters, including equity and debt investments, M&A transactions, and corporate governance issues. Prior to joining Lowenstein Sandler, Carl completed clerkships with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division and with the San Francisco City Attorney's Office. He earned his J.D. / M.B.A. from Santa Clara University and his B.A. from Princeton University.
Paul M. Krueger is a member of The Tech Group and the Patent Counseling & Prosecution practice. He focuses on intellectual property matters, including preparation and prosecution of U.S. and international patent applications, patent appeals, and design patents. He has over a decade of patent experience, and his ability to identify the impact of these matters on patent holders' assets has contributed to his outstanding track record in strengthening intellectual property portfolios. From startups to Fortune 100 companies, clients value Paul's advice on intellectual property considerations arising in mergers and acquisitions and venture capital transactions. His background in electrical engineering informs his strategic counsel on patents related to electronics, software, Internet technologies, and computer technology. Paul earned his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a B.S. from Santa Clara University.
Meagan R. Signoriello is a member of the firm’s Mortgage & Structured Finance practice and the Transactions & Advisory Group. She provides counsel to mortgage servicers, investment managers, and originators in regard to mortgage and servicing rights acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and conduits. Her experience extends to counseling clients in connection with numerous servicing advance facilities and excess spread acquisitions or sales. Additionally, Meagan offers guidance to borrowers, lenders, and administrative agents in syndicated credit facilities (domestic and cross-border); works with both purchasers and sellers in par and distressed bank debt and bankruptcy trade claims and securities; counsels collateral managers in collateralized loan obligation transactions; and has worked with financial institutions in commercial paper programs, asset-backed commercial paper programs, and the securitization of various types of receivables. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Fordham University School of Law and her B.A. from Fordham University.
