Scott is a results-driven, transactional attorney with strong business acumen who leverages unique in-house and Big Law experiences to assist clients with key business initiative implementation.
He began his career at Lowenstein, working on buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions; corporate finance transactions including venture deals, securities offerings, private investments, refinancings, and restructurings; and general corporate and fund structuring, governance, and compliance matters—while representing a wide range of clients, including strategic buyers and sellers, financial institutions, investment funds, fund managers, and start-up teams. Scott has worked with clients at all stages of the business life cycle, from startup to maturity.
During 2021-2022, he served as General Counsel to a client of the firm, overseeing all legal affairs for a high net worth individual based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, including managing multiple hedge funds, a decentralized finance platform, and a family office, as well as serving as chief counsel to the chairman, president and executive team.
Scott continues to advise his former employer, and has focused on advising fund managers in connection with structuring and formation matters and strategic transactions.
In addition, Scott maintains an active pro bono practice working with nonprofits to address their corporate governance and transactional needs.
