Mitchell McDonald’s business law practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions. He also counsels private equity, strategic company, and small business clients through a myriad of complex transactions and legal challenges, including joint venture partnerships, business disputes, and general legal matters.
Over the course of his career, Mitch has led and worked on deal teams that have negotiated and closed transactions ranging from a few million to several billion dollars in value. With deal experience in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, consumer, real estate, software and technology, financial services, and various other sectors, Mitch brings a breadth of experience to both routine transactions and unique situations.
Mitch brings a pragmatic and efficient approach to advising clients and solving complex problems, deploys a collaborative negotiating style, and enhances value beyond the legal realm by closing deals in ways that align with his clients’ immediate and long-term business goals.
Mitch’s pro bono work includes advising nonprofit organizations on state-by-state charitable registration requirements. He leads Lowenstein Sandler’s Summary Survey of State Charity Registration Requirements in All 50 States and the District of Columbia, a comprehensive resource prepared for the Pro Bono Partnership that covers the state charitable solicitation regulations that apply to 501(c)(3) and similar organizations.
