Michael's practice focuses primarily on creditors' rights in the context of complex Chapter 11 bankruptcies, including representing creditors' committees, secured and unsecured creditors, and other parties in interest in all facets of Chapter 11 cases. He also has experience representing debtors, asset purchasers, plan administrators, and liquidating trustees; and prosecuting and defending preference actions and other bankruptcy-related litigation and contested matters.
Michael’s recent high profile representations include the creditors’ committees in the GNC and Bumble Bee Chapter 11 cases and Aceto Corporation in its Chapter 11 proceedings.
As pro bono coordinator for the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department, Michael handles and manages no-asset Chapter 7 cases for low income individuals in coordination with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael clerked for the Hon. Menelaos W. Toskos in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
