Nicole Fulfree, counsel in Lowenstein’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department, has been named to the 2022 Class of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) 40 Under 40 program, which recognizes emerging leaders in the insolvency profession who are committed to the highest standards of achievement at work and in their communities.

Fulfree represents debtors, creditors' committees, trustees, individual creditors, and institutional shareholders and investors in a variety of complex bankruptcy matters both in and out of court.  Fulfree has represented creditors’ committees in several high profile Chapter 11 cases, including health retailer GNC Holdings Inc., discount retailer Fred’s, Inc., and iconic retailer Modell’s Sporting Goods.

Since 2017, Fulfree has served on the Executive Board of Lowenstein’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), a grassroots program that reaches across the firm’s practice areas and offices, and supports and empowers women to achieve professional and personal success. She is a co-founder and co-host of the podcast “Real Talk,” which encourages open conversations among women lawyers on a wide range of issues from burnout to dealing with pregnancy complications and miscarriage at work.  She frequently speaks and writes on many topics from Chapter 11 bankruptcy and creditors’ rights to women’s issues in the legal field.
