Lowenstein Sandler represented Reach Capital as lead investor in edtech startup TeachFX’s $10 million Series A financing. Reach Capital is a thesis-driven, sector-focused, early-stage edtech investor; its founding partners have been investing together in education technology since 2008, intentionally building an expansive network of investment expertise, support partners, and resources for the edtech community.
TeachFX mission is to promote more meaningful and equitable classroom dialogue by superpowering teachers’ work—using technology to provide educators with regular, automated feedback on their practice. The artificial intelligence-powered app records teachers’ lessons and gives them personalized feedback about what they do well and where they could improve, using voice AI to measure the student engagement, equity of voice, and discourse patterns in a teacher’s virtual or in-person classroom.
Forbes reports that the company is currently partnered with about 70 school districts and remote tutoring platforms. According to Crunchbase, investment in edtech has been growing exponentially, with $14.6 billion in investment in 2020 and $20 billion in 2021, up from $7 billion in 2019.
