Jennifer B. Kimble, counsel in the Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department, has been appointed Chair of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) 2022 Board of Directors.

IWIRC is the leading international, networking, and professional development organization for women in the restructuring and insolvency industry. Its networks are located in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.

Kimble is a corporate restructuring attorney with more than fifteen years of experience representing Chapter 11 debtors, creditors’ and retiree committees, Chapter 7 trustees, and lenders in bankruptcy proceedings, preference actions, commercial transactions, commercial litigation, and out-of-court restructurings. She has extensive experience in all aspects of Chapter 11 cases, post-confirmation trusts and the litigation of Chapter 5 claims, and insolvency-related matters in the automotive and mining industries.   Kimble has served on the IWIRC Board of Directors since 2012 and as officer of the organization since 2017.

Kimble says, “IWIRC is particularly important today as professionals look to expand the diversity within their respective organizations and the restructuring community as a whole. I am thrilled at the global composition of the 2022 Board of Directors and am incredibly honored to be leading IWIRC as we embark on a new year of enhancing the professional status of women in restructuring and fostering connections – hopefully in person! ”
