Sara Uz focuses her practice on the representation of startups, emerging growth companies, and the venture funds and other investors that invest in them across a range of industries in the technology space. In addition to counseling clients on early-stage investments and venture capital financings, she provides general corporate and strategic guidance through all stages of her clients’ life cycles, from formation to exit.
Sara also advises mission-based companies and impact investors on a variety of matters relating to entity formation and the use of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in venture investments. Similarly, she is active in a variety of pro bono matters, providing advice on nonprofit entity formation, structuring, and other corporate matters.
In 2023, Sara was selected by firm leadership to participate in Lawyers Alliance for New York’s longstanding four-month externship program, where she advised public charities and private foundations on a variety of New York nonprofit law issues.
