Ryne delivers timely advice and tailored advocacy to U.S. and global leaders at both traditional financial markets firms and innovative financial technology companies, drawing on his prior experiences as a senior U.S. financial markets regulator, seasoned trading and markets regulatory counsel, and general counsel for a financial services and digital assets business. Clients value his advice on their most important and strategic projects and matters—from idea generation and design, regulatory analysis, and license applications, to commercial launch, as well as on governmental and regulatory investigations into trading and trade conduct and compliance for commodities, derivatives, securities, and digital asset businesses.

Valued for his diverse background, which includes serving as Co-chair of an Am Law 25 law firm’s Commodities, Futures & Derivatives group and legal counsel to a former Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman, Ryne represents global leaders and executives at both traditional financial markets firms and innovative financial technology companies on a wide range of high stakes and sensitive internal matters, including negotiations with material business partners on key strategic relationships, governance design, and managing crisis and incident response situations, including investigative matters involving the CFTC, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the National Futures Association (NFA), the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), the Department of Justice (DOJ), and multiple other Federal and state regulatory bodies.
