Anish Patel advises clients on a variety of environmental, regulatory, and litigation matters, with a focus on helping companies navigate complex environmental and product-related risks. He supports clients across industries in addressing issues involving environmental contamination, toxic torts, and products liability, including matters related to emerging contaminants such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and natural resource damages.
He works with clients to manage risk and advance business objectives through strategic approaches to permitting, investigation and remediation, and interactions with regulatory agencies. He also supports the environmental components of transactional matters. Outside of the environmental context, Anish also has both litigation and regulatory experience in the gaming, healthcare, and financial sectors, as well as experience in commercial litigation and arbitration.
Committed to pro bono work, Anish has represented victims of domestic abuse seeking restraining orders against abusers, represented tenants facing disputes with landlords, and served on several Lowenstein impact litigation teams working to protect the constitutional rights of noncitizens and gender nonconforming students. Prior to law school, Anish was an AmeriCorps member and a volunteer emergency medical technician.
Before joining Lowenstein, Anish clerked for Chief Judge Matthew W. Brann of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and for Justice Lee A. Solomon of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
Anish was a member of Lowenstein Sandler's 1L Scholars Program as well as its Summer Associate program. While pursuing his J.D., he participated in Seton Hall’s Impact Litigation Clinic, where he successfully argued, as pro bono counsel, an appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, leading to a published decision in his client’s favor.
