Reynold Lambert, partner in Lowenstein Sandler’s Business Litigation and Class Action Litigation groups, was sworn in as President-Elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey (HBA-NJ) at a ceremony on October 22, 2019. He will serve a one-year term.

Lambert previously served as a board member and trustee of the HBA-NJ, where he helps organize initiatives, programs, and public advocacy activities aimed at fostering a more diverse legal landscape and addressing issues that affect the Hispanic community.

“As the son of Cuban immigrants and my family's first college graduate, I am obliged and proud to lead the way towards a more diverse, multifaceted bar,” he said.

HBA-NJ’s membership consists of hundreds of Hispanic attorneys in private, corporate, government, and public interest positions, in addition to judges, law professors, and law students. Its mission is to serve the public interest by cultivating the art and science of jurisprudence; advancing the standing of the legal profession; and preserving high standards of integrity, honor, and professional courtesy among Hispanic lawyers.

Lambert is an active leader in the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, including Lowenstein’s Diversity Leadership Network (DLN), which focuses on recruiting, supporting, and promoting attorneys from diverse backgrounds. The DLN identifies and puts in place support to foster the organic development of relationships and mentorships that are critical to each member’s personal brand and professional success.

Lowenstein Sandler is committed to creating a community that is diverse, inclusive, and respectful of differing points of view. In addition to the firm’s internal employee resource groups (such as the DLN), Lowenstein works closely with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity to build pipeline programs to develop diverse lawyers through training, networking, and access to law firm leaders and in-house counsel executives. The firm also offers the Lowenstein Sandler LS Scholars Program, which provides promising, diverse first-year law students with both a paid summer associate position and a scholarship to be used toward their second year of law school.

Lowenstein Sandler has received numerous accolades for its diversity and inclusion efforts and other equity-focused initiatives, including:
