Fernando represents companies and investment funds on venture capital financing and general corporate matters. His clients include venture capital firms and companies in various industries and at different stages of development.
Fernando has in-house experience as USA Corporate Counsel for BDP International, a multinational corporation where he oversaw legal strategies involving the company’s operations throughout Latin America, including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru; and managed outside counsel in connection with tax, labor, and civil litigation issues.
He has also worked in Brazilian and American law firms, including Sao Paulo-based Miguel Neto Advogados, where he focused on cross border M&A transactions, restructuring, and general corporate matters; and in the Brazilian and New York offices of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, where he assisted on international debt and equity capital markets transactions and IPOs.
Fernando speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish. He is committed to pro bono work, particularly counseling small business owners and entrepreneurs through programs designed to support early-stage companies.
