Brandon represents professional investors, corporations, private equity and pension funds, and individuals in high-stakes litigation in federal and state courts nationwide. With a focus on securities and debtholder matters, Brandon adds significant value for investor clients through his keen analysis and creative solutions to complex problems.
His notable recent securities matters include the representation of investment funds in securities actions arising from disclosures at Ocwen Financial Corporation, Marrone Bio Innovations Inc., American Realty Capital Properties Inc. (n/k/a Vereit), and TerraForm Global, Inc. Brandon also recently represented a multibillion-dollar investment fund in a preliminary injunction proceeding against Kindred Healthcare Inc., which secured valuable additional time for shareholders to make an informed decision whether to vote in favor of a merger or exercise their appraisal rights. Moreover, Brandon has significant experience defending the portfolio companies of the firm’s private equity and investment fund clients, including in securities and breach of contract matters in state and federal court.
Brandon maintains a robust pro bono practice, where he advises on a variety of criminal, civil, immigration, and domestic violence matters. Early in his career, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. Stanley R. Chesler of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to his career in law, Brandon traveled the country as a stage manager and assistant director for live broadcasts of World Wrestling Entertainment programming.
Valued by clients and colleagues for his willingness to dig in and get his hands dirty, Brandon maintains a small (but noisy) chicken and goat farm in rural New Jersey.
