Arielle B. Adler will speak on a panel at the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Annual Meeting, to be held online. The session, “The Many Closets of a Diverse Profession,” is co-sponsored by the NJSBA LGBT Rights Section.

This program will look at diversity through the personal first experience lens of diverse attorneys. In a candid and transparent manner, attorneys will share these narrative experiences as learning moments to engage those in attendance around conversations of implicit bias, micro-aggression, differential treatment, and sometimes outright discrimination. Attendees will also be encouraged to participate in a diversity and inclusions “self-audit” to become more aware of their known and unknown understanding of themselves and how that may be manifested in the form of bias. Attendees walk away with actionable steps to reduce bias, discrimination, and intolerance in their workplace settings and the profession in general.
